Imdaad reveals AED 60 million investment plan for 2017

Company announces new contract wins with top industry players and 2017 strategic roadmap


January 31, 2017 – Imdaad, the GCC’s leading integrated facilities management (FM) company based in Dubai, has revealed that it will invest AED 60 million this 2017 to meet growth via targeted acquisition of local firms. The announcement was made during a press conference held today (Tuesday, January 31, 2017), at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, Palm Jumeirah in Dubai where the leading FM company also unveiled its latest contract wins with giant industry players and its strategic roadmap for 2017 as it moves to cement its leadership in the flourishing regional FM sector.
In 2016, Imdaad acquired a firefighting company and a lifts, installations and maintenance firm as part of its comprehensive expansion approach to widening its scope and services. The AED 60-million investment plan will carry on the objectives of its growth strategy this year. Additionally, the company expects to perform strongly yet again after obtaining new major deals with key organisations and renewing agreements with top long-time clientele.

Its new contracts include a deal with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai (IACAD) for the upkeep of all mosques under its mandate; Mashreq Bank; Dubai Parks and Resorts; the posh Palazzo Versace hotel; Lapita Hotel; TECOM; the Dubai Opera house; Be’ah (Oman Environmental Services); Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD); Nakheel; Wasl; Al Fattan Properties; Kingfield Owner Association Management Services; and ENOVA.

These new developments along Imdaad’s latest achievements and industry expectations for 2017 were announced against the background of a rising FM sector in the UAE. Industry estimates put the GCC’s cumulative FM spend at USD 892 billion over the last 25 years, with Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE as leaders. Globally, as per a market research report released by Global Industry Analysts, Inc., the FM industry is seen to be worth USD 394.69 billion by 2017.

K5 Middle East announces construction of first manufacturing facility in the Middle East

Dubai, January 22, 2017-K5 Middle East, a firefighting products, solutions and technologies company, has announced that it is constructing its first manufacturing facility in the Middle East in Ajman. The announcement was made along with the company’s participation in Intersec 2017, the world’s leading trade fair for security, safety and fire protection taking place from January 22 to 24, 2017 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC). The construction of the facility is progressing well with an estimated investment of USD 100 million over the next few years.

 The move complements a recent report by Frost & Sullivan that the GCC’s fire safety market is expected to grow at an average of 15 per cent to touch USD 3.15 billion by 2020. The UAE accounts for 34 per cent or USD 476 million of the GCC’s USD 1.4 billion fire safety market, driven mainly by the local construction boom. Demand for fire safety systems and equipment is expected to get a major boost as World Expo 2020 draws near and as work on major construction projects progresses up to 2021. Sales of detection systems and equipment – including smoke and heat detectors and fire extinguishers – dominate the UAE’s fire safety systems and equipment market.

Falconcity of Wonders to support Dubai’s 2021 real estate vision at latest Cityscape Global
